Here is my attempt at making a cape, well a prototype anyway. Dang it looks like birth or an organ, something that should be inside, covered with skin. I used the cut out hearts, some silk floss dyed wool and thread. I think tomorrow I will make another one, similar shape, and after they dry I will stitch them together to make a three dimensional organ.

I had a great conversation about the thesis show with Nelly today. She suggested having three essential scenes of the video projected on three walls with the fourth wall a place to hang or present some objects from the video. The cape is one option. She suggested using dissolving embroidery paper. I found some at Beverlys, and that's is how I formed the birth object to the left.

She asked me to select only three scenes and send her a screen shot from each. I chose the one when the creatures are put into the heart, the birth and coming to shore. I may end up replacing one of those with the footage of my person breaking open and the creatures coming out. I hope to do that sequence tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Here are a few screen shots from the video I might use for the show.
