I strugeled with making someting today but glad I pushed through the resistance. Its dificult sometimes when I put pressure on myself to make someting new or interesting. It's like Dandasana. There is always work to do in this semingly simple, but for me very dificut pose. I can sit in the pose all slumped and feet rolling in, just getting through it. Or I can really work in the pose so my spine supports the entire body like a strong staff. This takes effort, an ongoing internal conversation. Making someting new takes effort. Sometimes I fell lazy, slumping. Sometimes I need support. But whatever I bring to the pose, the most important thing is to show up and give it a try. That was my art process today. Sort of slumped, efforting to engage my spine for support, grabbing some blankets to raise my bottom up...you get the metaphor.
Ease came today when meeting with Tom to talk about his project and share some of the work I have been doing. He is interested in having me doing some animaion to be projected onto the performers in the show he is creating. I agreed to help him. Details will come later. Right now he is working on the structure for the stage. Then he will meet with dancer/actors to work out choreography and at that point will have a better idea how the animation will fit into the picture.
