Screen Shot Tenderfoot II

Crazy quilts are made with a wide variety of fabrics patched together using various sizes, shapes, colors. You might have silk next to scraps of a wool sweater for example. Somehow the diverse textiles come together and make a working, visually appealing, quilt.

The current project is turning into a crazy quilt but we are not at the visually apealing stage of the process. And I am not sure this one will ever come together. I am trying to compose a visual experience using animation, 8mm footage, black and white footage and full color footage. Thats like sewing together floral upholstery, green sequence, puce velvet and denim pinstripes.

I have completed my animaion goals and now I am trying to edit the sequences into the rough cut. The word Frankeinstein continues to pop into my head. It feels like a monster. Its just not working. I think tomorrow I am going to have to scrap the rough cut and start fresh. I really wanted to be able to share someting I felt good about for our last class meeting but this one is a work in progress and I dont think I can pull all together by tomorrow night. One thing is certain. After tomorrow I will give this video a full rest and move onto someting else.
