Surface Painting

Today I worked on making surfaces. I am trying to mix paint/create texture to emulate the color and feel of old book pages. I have been using antique book pages as the background for my drawings for quite awhile now but wanted to make larger drawings on a similar surface. These paintings are 22X30 and 11X15. I think I am starting to get close. The painting in the top row, right was my most successful attempt.

Tomorrow I am going to strongly consider making "Tender Foot" using stop motion. I will revisit the story board and start breaking it down. I am still waiting for the return of the Ka-ching! film. Once I see how it turned out I can figure out what, if any, ajustments need to be made.
