I took a realistic look into my time management and figured out I am not spending as much time on my art practice as I would like. Last year I remember trying to schedule at least four hours a day for the creative process, sort of treating it like a job. I made a plan for the week and I think I should be able to reach this goal. Today yes, I was able to put in the full time and ended up jump starting the Heart of the Matter animation project. I focused on moving some red wool and fibers around to sort of evoke the idea of blood vessels. I have a plan to tie all of the stories together with the heart material. We shall see if it works and if not I can defiantly use this sequence in another project. The image above is taken with my digital camera which is sitting next to the Bolex film camera. I used my new lens today and hope the shots turn out. I have the digital file as a backup.
I was able to do some writing and started a new drawing, food shopped, cleaned the kitchen, washed floors and did yoga and strength training. I feel good about the balance today.
