Today I tore down the set, cleaned the yard, put stuff away, cleaned the kitchen, washed floors, cleaned my art studio, took a nap on the couch, did some Yoga and starting playing around with ideas for the Ka-ching stop motion. I spoke to the person who loaded the film and they are conserned that they may have damaged the footage at the start and end of the reel because they touched the emulsion. I am not suprised to hear this but it does motivate me to make some stop motion to layer over anyting that did not turn out. This idea looked interesting. The hollow guy has bags pass through and I will shoot it on top of this fabric I made last Spring.

Tomorrow Isabelle is coming in the moring for coffee. Looking forward to our time together. The rest of the day I will work a bit more on idea generation.

The limited amount of film on the camera (2.5 minutes) makes improvisation a bad idea. I will have to have a good solid plan of what I want to capture. I do not want to be in the midle of a sequence when the motor needs cranking. It has a hand crank. This means the camera will be shifted and bumped into a new position during the process. I just found out a fully cranked camera (7 cranks) will run for about 28 seconds. So I will design 28 second sequences.

Sorry for the boring details. It helps me to write it down. Tomorrow will be my first time using this camera.

Night!
