Most of the day was spent moving stuff around in the studio and imagining what various assemblages might go well together for the show. The image above was one such arrival. I moved on from there and made another red cape cloth but this time I used quite a bit of silk floss. It ended up having more weight and more of a "body-like"- sort of raw skin feel. Unfortunately today the eye of Sauron, my internal critical voice was fully engaged. The thesis show, and the question, what to put in it? really has her stirred up. She really likes deciding what is good and what isn't. So it was a bit brutal and annihilating. Below you will see more experiments with the white material and wire followed by the new red cape material.
Tomorrow my goal is to complete the gallery proposal, go for a hike, and make two more red cape materials and fill out a milestone chart for next week.
