The news continues to shock and upset. Last year I mainlined the political landscape. Every free moment I watched news and listened to podcasts, to what end? Like many people my sence of trust in the news, in my case Midas Touch podcast, Democracy Now, Fox, CNN and many other mainstreem media outlets, really did not prepare me for the supprise and devistation I felt when Harris did not win the election. We all have opinions on what happened on November 4th, 2024 and my take is the following; the majority of Americans are racist and sexist. I knew I could not continue partaking in the news so closly and pulled back severly to break the habitual behavior. I have only been reading headlines since November. They are taking up less time but still just as miserable and misleading.

I have never directly talked about politics in this blog. It's uncomfortable doing so but I need to start practicing speaking up. I am not okay with the inhumane racist imigration policies that are hapening right now. And I think it is wrong to send the national guard, and now the marines into Los Angeles to stop people from protesting. These actions are dangerous and have increased the threat of violence. I am afraid someone will get killed.
