Above is a screen shot from a video I worked on today. It is a mini demo reel of the skills I learned last semester in the 2D animation class at De Anza. I have more footage to add but wanted to share what I put together so far. Here is a link if you want to check it out
And here is a link to a video I smushed together this morning. It shows animaion I created last summer for a student gift exchange. I recycled some of the footage and added it to the sound of my friend Bill reading his poem, "2024". They work well together I think. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BnPwW3UfAYJSgwuhyo3SBoaC5ZsRkO0X/view?usp=sharing
The idea of coloborating with Bill took shape last January. We made a plan to do monthy video/poetry exchanges, kind of like a corps poem, if you know what that is. It took me an entire year to respond to his first poem, far too long. We met for a hike today and talked it through. The next few rounds will be more spontaneous and quick and not overthought.
Lastly, yes I did another pelvis drawing today. The baby continues to emerge while the midwife holds her ankles. Holding ankles. This has great meaning for me. I have written enough for now but maybe a future post will share about the significane of holding ankles.
Night!
