Today was super productive. I rewrote the storyboard with the suggestions given to me by the crew. I also rewrote the script and made an outline with the beats. I think beasts is the right word. Its the estimated number of seconds each shot will have by the end of the film. I am doing that to see how long it will be and how much raw footage is needed.
Yesterday I was upset because I agreed to switch rolls. I will not be the camera person, I am now the director. I felt overwelmed and at a complete loss as to how to write the script and use the feedback given to me. I just sat on the couch with the cat in my lap and frame by frame played the film in my head. It's such a cool process. I see it like a moving picture and I substitute this and that untill it flows.
I forgot to mention yesterday that I had coffee with Gretchen from the art group. We were catching up and I shared that I was taking a 16mm film class. She asked, do you need a camera? Well it turns out I bought hers for 45.00. That is the picture above. It is super cute and made around 1937 or so. When I brought it home I figured out it is an 8mm camera but thats okay. I am have some trouble finding film for it however. Tomorrow I am going to call a place that might know where I can get some.
Here is the new storyboard. Frame 40 has the wrong description. It should read, bag breaks free and floats downstream.
