Jolly Pastime

Today Nick helped me attach a steel play to my copy stand to stabelize it when shooting with the Bolex. We did some problem solving and hopfully have a worckable solution to the camera shake. I spent some time cleaning the studio (again). This seems to be a necessary ritual for diving into the next project.
I received an intro to the photography class and the teacher requested we bring plant material to make Lumen prints, which I think are like cyanotypes. The plants block the sun on the photographic paper. The areas not covered are exposed by the sunlight. At least I think that is what is happening. But from the photos it looks like colors of the flowers show up? So I am. not sure.
Looking forward to this experience.
Above is a page from a turn of the century antique book titled "Jolly Pasttime Story Book " . I covered the page with pastel ground, fiber paste and acrylic paint. Then I went back into it with stabillo pencil.
Not much more to share. I think it is a popcorn night. Dogs are tired for no reason. Maybe all the loud drilling from working on the steel plate tuckered them out. Little mysteries.
Night!
