Heart Pigs

Well today I continued with the intention to work abstrctly but eventually the narrative and figure returned. These little characters are not glued down and look good on all of the abstrat paintings I am working on. It made me think, hey maybe I am creating backgrounds for an animation of my version of the three little piggies. Here is another one I am working on.

This morning as I backed out of the driveway I felt almost certain, at some point, this forest will catch on fire and the house will burn down. Dark thought, dark painting. With so many fires happening in California it is now the norm and it feels like only a matter of time. It's strange to leave a place before leaving and that is sort of what I see myself doing. I wonder if people do that as they feel their death near. Leave before leaving. I am in a mood. It will pass.
