These are my digital test shots I took to frame out pictures for the film camera. I shot two rolls. I was hoping to do three but ran out of time. Tomorrow Sandy and her friend are coming over to learn how to felt. She wants to do an animation with felted characters. I think they are sunflowers.

I finished shooting the roll in the Kodak movie camera. I am excited to see how the black and white footage turns out. Today I captured a really beautiful sequence of a young boy down by the crashing waves. He was dancing and playing. The sun was low and bright behind him, so he was this timeless dancing silhouette.

This reminds me of yeterday. I was downtown walking to the bookstore and some parents, about ten feet ahead of me, walked across my path. My eyes traveled from the dads feet up the side of his body to the baby who was looking intently at me and when my eyes landed on him he raised his arm and waved slowly like in a dream. I waved back. The parents never noticed. It was the weirdest thing. There was a very old soul in that baby. I think he recognized me.
