This was a vey busy week with lots of learning. I experimented with masking the heart and several other ideas emerged as I fumbled along. Towards the end of the week I placed the animated heart on the chest of the puppet. This has potential. Here is a video of the experiments with the heart/ masking/green screen and overlay onto the body.
I photographed the making of the face in the forest and in the studio and captured a few interesting results with both. After a week of shooting I feel I have a better handle on how to shoot the pictures. I will use green screen so I can control the lighting when necessary. In some shots my body is in the frame and I may be able to edit myself out of the frame, if not I will reshoot. The video below groups all of the shots I have collected so far.
Here is a photo of the aloe vera. I glued wire on the material, as suggested, to make it possible to bend and move the pieces as they rest on the puppets chest.

I worked on the narrative …did a free write from the perspective of the puppet. I do not have anything ready to share at this point but the writing is very informative and I will continue working on the narrative next week.
Here is a video of the pelvis that is inside the body of the puppet. I envision revealing this as her skin peels away.

I feel in a good place as I approach this next week. I will focus on the hands holing the creatures and the creatures walking on hands and the ground. I will use green screen for these sequences.
I will also continue to work on the narrative.
