Day Seven: Curtain and Figure

Today I played around with what the person could look like. The hands and heart and contained body are essential elements. I like the idea of using the pod as the body and Silk floss arms. For the heart I ended up using handmade papers and aloe-vera. It ended up looking like a vulva which works for me right now.

The curtains were attached to wire and branches with thorns (huckleberry). Thorns work with the curtain idea as does the black and white heart prints on tissue.

Here is the curtain in motion. Tomorrow will be the tricky part to see if I can rig up stuff to make my figures stand and be movable. Peg board is cut and ready to go. Tonight I have two goals finish todays heart drawing, heart writing entry and some sort of rough sketch story board.
