The documentary, "Judy's Keys" is complete. The last four hours was high stress due to technical problems uploading the thing to Google. I ended up at the library and an hour into the class and it finally uploaded. Then the library closed so I had to sit outside, next to the building, in rush hour traffic to complete the zoom call. I was so revved up and way too hungry. Finally, now, a few hours later my shoulders are dropping. We just had a yummy homemade pizza. Isabelle is here for an overnight.
Time to celebrate the making the documentary and posting about the art process everyday for a month. I feel enormously grateful to have so much support from Nick to follow my creative muse. The documentary is important for Judy and for our extended family as well. She is the youngest of ten and only she and her older sister Grace are living. Judy's sense of humor is absolutely shared throughout the entire Kirk family and I imagine my cousins will see it and remember their mom or dad.
Will I be posting in October? No, not everyday. But I will pick it up again and post everyday in the month of November. My focus the next four weeks will be the "Lights Out" practice, a ten day road trip along Hwy 395 with Nick and without pressure, ease back into the documentary about my artist friends, "The Heart of the Matter".
