Assemblage

Today I worked on editing Judy's documentry. The editing program crashed midstream and after an hour of trying a bunch of stuff I was able to get things running again. A year ago this would have freeked me out. Tears, lost data and anger would have been part of the process but today I stayed calm and just applyed logic. Turns out these two approaches produce good results.
I like posting pictures for you to look at while reading. Tonight I am featuring an assamblage of many paintings cut into pieces and put on the page. This is what editing feels like. I tried to paint a picture of what breaking through limitations feels like but it did not turn out well. Gouache can be such an unforgiving medium, so chalky and flat.
