Begin Again

It has been four months since my last post in the Art Journal.  I am glad to return to the work and plan to document the creative processes through writing and images for the entire month of August.  Jenni has agreed to join me again.  I feel so inspired by her work and doing this with her helps me stick to my commitment to do some sort of creative act each day.

I have prepared 31 surfaces on old book pages for the month of August.  I plan to do a daily simple geometric drawing followed by a pendulum drawing on graph paper.  I am trying to figure out a method of how I will use the pendulum.

Today I began the process with a question about how creativity, spirituality and healing might come together in my work. I held the pendulum in my right hand and pondered the question.  As it moved I placed dots and then lines, reflecting the path the pendulum traveled.
