Assemblage

This is all I have for you today. The black and white drawing I have been working on for the past several days is now the background for the image of my mom holding up some seaweed bulbs.

The three hour plan was interrupted by a long, hike through mountains of wild flowers at Garrapata State Park. I went with Annette. My ankles continue to feel okay and today they were tasked severely- so much elevation there- but so far so good. I am okay with the the decision to spend the day hiking because the conversation and being in such an incredibly beautiful place was inspiring to the creative process. I do like this idea of asking myself, "Is what I am doing adding to, subtracting or having no impact on my long term goals around art making?" Tomorrow I will go over the hill for Photography at De anza, and after meet with a classmate to help her figure out how to make the stop motion characters in her video project. On my way to school I need to finish shooting the rest of my roll of film. Not sure where I will do that.
