Another Egg

Lots of creating today and thinking about art making.  This morning our critique group met.  We checked in, talked about each others work and then Andrea shared a great slideshow of the artwork she saw while in New York.  I love looking at things through her eyes and feel grateful to her for fanning our flames and exposing us to artwork we might not otherwise see.

One of the artists Andrea shared was Helena Sofia Schjerfbeck, a 19th century Finish Painter who is know for her modernistic self portraits.  Inspired, I came home and tried to paint my face. Not easy!  It was a quick go that ended up getting covered.

Then I got down to business and made an egg on the medium sized paper.  I hope you are not getting too bored with the eggs.  I think they might be around for awhile.

After that I cranked out some animation.  Evelyn’s sequence is complete. Now I have just two characters remaining for Heart of the Matter.

And lastly I heard back from Cinequest (a film festival in the Bay Area) that Judy’s Keys was not selected.  They sent a nice letter.  I feel disappointed but it’s okay.
