Early this morning I met with the Main Media Critique group and continue to enjoy looking at their images and showing my own.  This evening I connected on Zoom with two art friends from SAIC.  It's been a year since we gathered and shared work. I enjoyed seeing what they have been doing and talking about idently. The further I move from doing psychotherapy the easier it is for me to be in a genuinely vulnerable and equal relationships with people.  So happy about that.

Seeing the creativity and hearing about the thoughts and process of other artists inspires me to continue. It makes me feel less lonley too.

The theme for this next week is clay, and a bright beam of sunlight.  The teacher presented a paragraph of his writing about visiting the warehouse of an 80 year old man who sells clay sourced from the land on which he lives.  He describe bricks of clay three stories high with shaft of sunlight pouring through a small window and a fine dust lingering in the cold air.

I started researching what clay molecules look like and began drawing a few.  I also worked on trying to draw an exact square.  The sketch above shows the steps. If you look real close, the last quadrant on the bottom right has a small green-ish square.

Lastly I am thinking about designing a four day stay at home retreat for myself this weekend starting tomorrow.  More about that later.
