Mixing Colors

This mixed media image started off with an intention to limit the pallet to three colors and not use any color directly out of the tube. I began with Alizarin Crimson, Burnt Siena and Manganese Blue. I really like the colors I made.
This second painting was inspired by a prompt from Jenni to make a painting of a perfect day. I started off thinking about the beautiful landscape of Utah and how I feel when I am hiking in the canyons with Nick. Then I wanted to paint a picture of me floating effortlessly down the river through the canyon. I became limited by my drawing skills but treid to continue with the feeling of fluidity. Tonight I didn't know where to take it so I started with some circles. Another Blastocyst drawing seems to be coming through. And it sort of looks like a compass.
