My brothers hip is healing and it seems like today he turned the corner on pain and swelling. It is so good to know he feels a bit better.
I met with the fim crew at Big Basin and found a location all of us felt good about. I am still struggling with the balance between incorporating peoples ideas while having a strong vision of what I want the camera to document to get my point across. A few people in the group seem to get where I am going and their input furthers the direction. Other individuals have been argumentative and contrary from the start. They don't get what I am doing keep engaging in a power struggle. I think in real life this person would not be in the crew because why work on a story you dont like? I look forwrd to this project being complete. I am disapointed I will not be learing the camera and that I have to fight everystep of the way to get my point across. The plus side is I am geeting more determined and confident in the direction because i keep having to defend it. Blah! Blah! Blah!
Hey. Look what day it is, the 31st. I managed to stick to my goal of posting everyday in January, 2025. Thanks for hanging in there with me.
Jenni and I are going to continue for the month of February. She planted the seed to do it for 100 days, after a friend of hers shared she just compleated 100 days of art. Jenni and I. decided to take it one month at a time. This process has been very helpful in so many ways. It helps me focus on stuff that is important to me. I am watching less crap on the computer at night. I am completley off the news. I am using materials and paper that I have previously been unable to work with because they seemed so precious. I have documentation of my creative process. I am less attached to what I am making and less critical. The goal is to keep showing up and learning. Those are just a few benefits I can think of.
Night!
