Today was the last meeting of the Experimental Documentry Course. Out of seven students only four came today and only three of us had a video to share. Hmm. It seems like I was not the only one having trouble with the time crunch. It made me feel better about the thoughts I was having last week. Many times I was going to throw in the towel and skip the last class. I am very glad I did not follow that exit strategy. I learned a lot from the teacher and the students and it was good to move through my fears and critical self talk.

The teacher had some interesting suggestions for what I can do with the video should I want to continue. At this point I am not motivated to keep working on it. In the future that may change. As I mentioned yesterday I am ready to move onto something else.

What is next?

I plan to continue documenting the creative process for the rest of November in this blog and then take a break in December. I plan on animating the little paper dolls my cousin maild to me. I would like to have it complete before the holiday. Should be fun.

Lastly, I feel inspired to make another video, even more experimental. I feel drawn to the green moss that is covering all of the oak trees right now. It is a doorway. So for that one I am just going to film the moss when the mood hits.

The photo above is an image of my work table. I painted the little Hilma inspired drawing for over an hour and then just wiped off all the paint.
