While making these drawings I am back thinking about the Zona Palucidia, the impenetrable membrane that contains the blastocyst as it travels along the uterine wall where it will eventually implant. For implantation to occur the membrane must breakdown and desolve itself. It changes from being protective to pourous so the blastocyst can makes it way through to the uterine wall. I am over simplifying but bringing it up becaue it relates to the breathable wall. If the membrane is solid and impassable life, growth and transformation would be truncated.
While being with the people in the film group and my brother/niece I am dancing around the boundary line; I don't know if I am doing a good job of it but at least I am conscious there are options and choices I can make. Pesently I seem to be contained and open at the same time. My hope is that we can all continue to grow and be what we want most.
While making these I was on the phone with my son Gabe. We did our paintings as we talked together. He is working on painting models. We did parallel play. It was a nice way to spend time with him.
