I have a cold and spent most of the day laying flat. Before I spiraled into the horizontal position I visited the beach and took some shots mid-day. The lighting seems more in line with Mary's story. There were tons of people on the beach, probably because it is a holiday weekend. I need to shoot the footage on a less occupied beach. I will check thinkgs out mid week at the somewhat ramote Zumdowski State Beach, south of Watsonville. The photo above is Manresa State Beach taken last month at sunset, also a good option as it is less traveled.

I had planned to take a road trip and drive to Seattle tomorrow to visit Gabe but I dont feel up to the journey. I might head out Sunday or take a plane on Monday depending on how quickly this cold passes.
