Animated Wire Experiment

I played around with animating the wire ontop of the painting and then layed it ontop of footage from the creek and Big Basin. If the 16mm footage does not turn out (over/under exposed or out of focus) I want to have interesting suportive movement and textures to help it along visually. This particular experiment is very abstract. I am just getting a feel for what might be possible. Here is a link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f_wiqylfxL0ZxMqHmmBEe5dKFYpwEmiz/view?usp=sharing

I went to another possible location for the shoot. We need to have a backup incase the permit for Sunol does not get returned in time. I found a good enough spot, out of the way over by Aptos Park. I do not think anyone will notice us there, down by the creek.

Rain is another consern. At first I thought, no problem, if it rains we take it inside and do animation for the whole project but I received strong pushback from the person working the camera, who was supposed to be the director. She wants to do more than just click the shutter. Well we all do, but sometimes clicking the shutter is what is needed in life. Take one for the team my friend. I'm feeling slightly bitter can you tell. I mean really.

No idea what the plan will be if it rains. I am now remembering the goals for this class,

  1. Learn the camera. Check! I am, since I have my own camera.

  2. Have fun. Almost a Check! I am having fun in between freeking out about crap and people.
