Today was a good day. The art group met and again everyone's work has an invigorated energy of exploration and self acceptance. I really appreciate the continued willingness to show up and make stuff. It's incredible really.
After the meeting I came home and patched my crazy quilt. The thing that helped was to lay down a simple piece of music for the entire viedo. It helped hold it together so I could hang out in the big picture while tweaking the smaller bits of sound. Eventually I faded out 90% of the song. This song (still in the quilt metaphor here) was sort of a tan cotton muslin backing upon which I attached the diverse pieces of tapestry.
Is this a great video? One of my best? Nope! But it is someting I feel good about sharing with my classmates. I learned so much these past three weeks about how to create a soundscape. Yeah!!! And I have another batch of fun memories created with my mom.
